In the life, everything comes and goes even our life itself.
We have the ability to create almost anything that can make the life we’ve been
given by God a wonderful one, but there’s this commodity that can’t be created.
It remains static. In Computer Programming there’s a value known as a constant
value, once initiated never changes till the program is terminated. That constant
value in life is TIME. We can’t
create it, and no matter how hard we try, the way our creator has made it, left
it, & given it to us, remains the way it is and will always be.
There’s just one thing we have the
choice to do so far we’re involved in the use of this commodity, and that is
the utilization of this commodity for the realization of desired results. This point
drives us to what is popularly known as TIME
MANAGEMENT. It is not yet late to start the New Year afresh, because nothing
is new until you become new & make everything new.
Everyone is glad seeing a new year,
and we all hope it will be better than the other years. Many said this the
previous years, but the fact is they never moved any further, or they kept
moving at the speed of a tortoise when they have planned moving at the speed of
a Horse. Asides spiritual challenges, and many other obstacles, many have decided
to follow the path of doom and they don’t know it. They have chosen thus by
making an ‘ILL USE’ of their God-given time. They most times try to adjust time
to suit their inability to make it count. They neglect seconds, minutes, hours,
and give more importance to years. This is why in 2005 he decided he’ll start doing
this and that, achieve more than he has been achieving the previous years, but
ends up not hitting that target, in 2018 that same declaration is still made
and they might likely not get it because they fail to do the first thing first.
TIME MANAGEMENT is what makes the difference between a man of value
and a common man. The man of value makes every second count, knowing that once
it’s gone can never return. The common man believes time is just the number of
years coming and going. Men of value gives a good account of what they had done
from dawn to dusk to know if they are indeed hitting desired targets, while the
Common Man sees it to be very irrelevant and unnecessary. The poor and the rich
has 24hrs a day to work, but the rich keeps getting richer, and the poor keeps getting
poorer, because not minding the fact they have the same duration to work, they
use those thousands of seconds to do totally different things. The fact is that you can’t get by miracle what
you are supposed to get by principles. God didn’t say “I’ll pour just
blessings on you,” he promised to bless the work of your hands, that is a
simple principle and it must be followed. You can’t plant 2 pieces of corn and
expect a Barn full of corn, you sow more to reap more, all these are done with the
time that is used in doing the right thing at the right time.
The 3 wise men in Bible were able
to know when the Messiah was born because they understood the times, and that
gave them the title ‘WISE MEN’. The year is still fresh, don’t do things the
same way they were done the previous years. I know you must have claimed the
prophecies of your Pastor saying, “This year shall be the best you’ve ever had”,
and I know you must have said a very loud AMEN, but dearie things are still
going remain the same if you don’t change the status quo. Start making every Second
count, stop spending much time on things that are not making you any better. Quit
watching over a movie a day, playing computer games every day and spending up
to 3hrs at a spot, being on social media for at least an hour doing nothing (just
wishing someone comes up so you can chat, what is that chat gonna give you?), being
in conversations that are yielding nothing, and many others. You know those
things that are not just doing you any good, just accept that they don’t
control you, you control them and if you do cut them off.
Tell yourself:
Am not going to be sleeping up to
8hrs per night anymore.
Read at least 2hrs everyday.
Go to the gym, exercise is one
thing you should never allow your tight schedule to take away from you.
Watch T.V for just 2hrs per day (I.e
if necessary).
And take many other positive decisions.
There’s no time to waste any more because that future we’ve always been told of
is almost here, what do you have to offer it?. It’s not your degree, or money,
or body, but your profit from the time well spent.
Above all make God a top priority,
make him be in control of the year because anything he’s in control of never
falls out of control. Don’t fear the future or the mistakes of the past, look
onto him who holds the future and he’ll make all things that were lost restored
in folds of hundred. Be strong, the Future is more beautiful than you can ever
imagine, just use your time wisely.
