I can't, won't, don't claim to be perfect.
I hate being in the category of the hypocritical Christian, i fear that place.
Sometimes am not even good, but would God take that against me? Making good
come out of my life impossible? Forgive me and refuses to use me? I don’t
believe in that gospel, because the God I know is too big to bear grudges
against a filthy human like I am. I believe in the God of Moses, he was an
orphan, a murderer, yet God choose this killer to be a fulfiller, performing
miracles, making rivers flow red and even leading his own people to the
promised land. I believe in the God of David, a Shepherd boy who became king, a
terrible father, an adulterer, a murderer, yet amidst all these went down to
the father and became the only man with the title, ’A man after God’s own
heart’. Mary Magdalene was a prostitute, living a life without direction,
Mathew was a tax collector, cheating and taking advantage of people, but these
people talked, walked, and witnessed Christ’s perfection. Why didn’t God choose
the Pharisees and the Saducees? Who were self-righteous, Pompus, full of lies,
and Pretention. Or did he choose the cowardly Peter, or persecuting Paul to
spread the message of the Christ’s redemption? All these heroes in the bible,
neither none of them were right in the beginning, none of them will pass our
standard of righteousness, but God still found them fit and has used them. This
happened because they didn’t lean on themselves, but on God because they knew
who God is and the power in the redemption of Christ.
So
can God use me? A sinner, a womanizer, a cultist, a stubborn child, a drug
addict, a broken stinking mess, or can God use him or her or you? I am coming
here right now to give you the answer which is YES he can and will. God can,
and will use anybody even if you go to church only once a year, does he only
speak through the prophet, or pastors? No, he can speak through anybody,
because God is in a different business, and believing in the Lord is the basis,
leaning on him and on him alone. It’s not about living the perfect life, where
everything you do is right, where people see you to be righteous and holy, it’s
about living his light and allowing his word be your tutor. Taking your broken
past to give him in an exchange for a hopeful future, because it wasn’t for
perfection that Jesus died, it was for the unhealthy, for the sick, and to seek
people like you and I who have been condemned by the world and are still
looking for shelter, for people who believe they can’t be used anymore by him.
It’s
no longer about typing this message, no longer about Social Media, or Blogging,
it’s not about me, it’s all about God, and with God it’s never about who you
were but about who you will be. That’s his story for the world, and we’re just
playing our parts. If you’re still out there feeling not qualified, that’s
great because not qualified is where he starts.
