Getting married goes beyond who we love and why we wish to spend our lives with them. Below is a list of things to consider before saying i do to him;

1.       He should be a man who has the image of God. He should know who he is, what he wants, and where he is going. Not wanting to be like this person or that person, but being just him. No makes him feel relevant, his worth is nothing but in him.

2.       He should be found in the presence of God. Adam was in the Garden of Eden, and was working for God’s benefit. He should love the presence of God, not having little or no interest in the things of God.

3.       He should be found working. Real men work hard, they aren’t lazy. Adam was found by Eve working in the Garden of Eden, and when she entered she found security. It’s not just about having money, but doing something to sustain that money in case it runs down. Don’t marry a man who is very comfortable living in your apartment, watching your T.V, go shopping with your own money, while you do the earning through working. That’s wrong, don’t try that.

4.       He should be ready to cultivate you. If the man is not ready to make you the woman of your dreams, then he is not the right person. There’s no need getting married to that man who will just leave you the way you are, without wanting to make you better. If you have any dream unfulfilled, then your husband to be should be the kind of man that keeps that dream alive till it is achieved.

5.       He should be a protector. If your man isn’t protective in nature, he’s not deserving. If he doesn’t stand for you as a man, having a bigger body frame, and being the head of the family, then he shouldn’t be your husband. When trouble or anything undesired rises, a real man doesn’t say “everyone for himself”, instead he says, “get behind me honey, I got this”. You should be able to say ‘Daddy’s home, everything is ok’, when your man enters the house. Children should have the confidence to say, ‘My Daddy’s home, you touch me, he’ll kill you’.

6.       He should know the word of God. God gave Adam the word, and Adam was to teach Eve the word when she arrives. He should be devoted to the word, he mustn’t be a pastor or teacher in church, but he should be able to mould the family into the image of God through the word. The man must be like Adam, if he guarantee you a good home. He should know the word of God.
