The lord does not work with lazy people but people who are
ever willing to work with him and that is made possible in faith. Just like
Abraham, he waited and finally got the promise, Jesus bore the cross before
getting the crown, Joseph passed series of tests before getting to the desired
destination the lord planned for him, David went through ‘thick and thin’ before
being the king of Israel, and many other heroes of faith in the Bible. Jesus
before he heals he demands the person’s faith, because without you being
genuinely convinced that he is able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all
you can ask of according to the power that works in us he won’t do it. That
means without we believing, all we’re doing as Christians is a waste because
total surrender is what moves the lord of all grace into action, don’t forget
you must get committed so he can get committed to satisfy your demands. Just
like the woman of Canaan who believed not minding the poor response she got at
the first instance from Jesus, she persisted and finally got the benefits of
her unfailing belief. The man whose son was possessed by an evil spirit
believed and not only did he believe he also demanded to be helped by the son
of God. He believed and also desired to be made to believe the more, that’s why
he wasn’t discouraged when the disciples of Jesus couldn’t cast out the demon
in the boy. Instead of getting discouraged he strived more and focused more on
the author and finisher of our faith which is Jesus Christ, and behold the man got
the benefits in full of his total belief and trust in God.
There’s one thing common with God,
and that is he will always require a genuine conviction that you believe that
he’s able to do just as you required the way he wants it to be done. Jesus was
doing miracles everywhere but why couldn’t he do it in his hometown? That’s
unbelief. His native people never believed in him maybe because they knew him
right from when he was a baby. Everyone can shout Jesus come and help me but it
takes the shout made out of faith to make your shout to be heard by the
messiah, just like the blind man Bartimaeus, many people were shouting there
but a shout made out of faith was what Jesus was needed that moment to do a
miracle and the man just got the point by defiling all odds to draw the
attention of the son of David to himself. If it was by normal shouting Jesus
wouldn’t have got the inspiration to heal him but because faith was involved
everything worked according to God’s plan. Likewise everyone can touch Jesus
but a touch made out of faith commits the lord to do exactly the way you demand
but in his own way. Remember the woman with the issue of blood, in the crowd
thousands were touching Jesus but she didn’t just give a touch but she gave a
touch of faith which led to an instant miracle that gave rise to a mind blowing
testimony. That’s just how the lord works he can’t lend a helping hand when you
haven’t even given out your hand. Remember the children of Israel they wouldn’t
have received manna if they didn’t believe in Moses and who sent him (God). Not
minding your inability, if you can make up your mind and take a bold step of
belief, he who said it is capable of doing exceedingly, abundantly, above even
the way you planned and imagined it. “Remember the just shall love by faith”,
also don’t forget not to go back after believing because it is better not to
have believed than once believing and then going back. Have you seen where
bread is being made before? I believe you have. There’s no commodity known as
bread, but a combination of ingredients and processes gave the product called
‘Bread’. Once the processes have been completed getting the ingredients back
again is not possible, because if you try destruction of the commodity is the
only thing that will surface. So believing in God and going back to unbelief is
as good as attempting to get back the sugar, salt, margarine, etc. that has
been used in the making of the bread. God says if anyone draws back my soul shall
have no pleasure in him, so if you draw back you are indirectly drawing a
battle line between you and God. Knowing that no stone upon another shall be
left in the life of that person who dares to battle with the lord,
don’t forget he has the power to kill the spirit and the soul. Our faith in God
determines our relationship with him. Yes I know there are times we tend to be
difficult, very challenging, and tough, but don’t forget that after the cross
comes the crown. Meaning that when you make that decision to follow Jesus
Christ, leave your old dirty ways, and live the new life of Godliness, it’s not
going to be easy, challenges must come from all round. But I am telling you
that those challenges are just coming to bring out the better in you, don’t
forget after the pressing of the olive comes the flow of oil. After your
challenges comes your glory, the bible said “…and after Abraham waited, he got
the promise…”. This means a price must be paid to make sure you are fit for the
crown, your sacrifice is your ransom to the promise of everlasting love, Joy,
mercy, security, financial freedom, good health, etc. will come to pass.
Be thou
strengthened child of God because in the world you will have tribulation but in
me is peace, be not dismayed for I have overcome the world. Your challenges,
troubles, pain, and grief have been overcome at the cross. As long as the lord
lives, not even a drop of his word shall be in vain. Keep growing in the faith,
God bless you.
