Angolan top-flight outfit Sagrada Esperanca have announced
the death of Ntaku Zibakaka, who passed away on Sunday.
The 23-year-old left-back was reported to have taken ill
during training at his club's pre-season camp in Benguela on Sunday - where
they are preparing for the upcoming Girabola season.
Angola Press, via Júlio Paiva, understands that the defender
started feeling bad during the training sessions at Praia Morena and was taken
to a clinic where he arrived already dead.
"With a painful heart the club would sadly inform the
public, fans, and other members about the sudden death of our player Ntaku
Zibakaka," read a statement from the club.
"With a great honour to our departed star and in grief
we convey our deepest sympathy to his family as they try to come to terms with
their loss."
The defender moved to the former Angolan champions in 2015,
from DR Congo.
