MY MEATLOAF RECIPE - start to finish

Meatloaf is a dish of ground meat mixed with other ingredients, formed into a loaf shape, then baked or smoked. The loaf shape is formed by either cooking it in a loaf pan, or forming it by hand on a flat baking pan.


 INGREDIENTS


  • 2 Pounds lean ground leaf                              

  • 1/2 cup warm water

  • 2 eggs

  • 1(1 ounce) package dry onion soup.

  • 11/2 cups dry bread crumbs

  • 2 Slices bacon

  • 1/4 cup ketchup

  • 1(8 ounce) can tomato sauce

  • 1 Teaspoon monosodium glutamate
           (MSG)

ADD ALL TO LIST...


DIRECTIONS

Prepare 10 mins

Cook 1 hour

Ready in 1hr 10mins

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)
  2. In a large bowl combine the beef, eggs, crumbs, ketchup, MSG, water and soup mix. Mix well and spoon mixture into loaf pan. Cover with 2 strips of bacon, then cover with tomato sauce.
  3. Bake in preheated oven for 1hr.
