Losing weight is something very necessary in everyone's life, and adding so much weight only robs us of a healthy body, but it also make us look older than we are, in some cases make us lose relationships and opportunities. Many wish to lose weight but most times end up not getting it. Here are simple foods to eat to lose weight in weeks.

Below are a few of them:

1. VEGETABLES.

The health benefits of vegetables usually show in long in long run by improving your overall health and keeping the internal system in perfect condition. The consumption of vegetables take care of   your digestive, excretory, and skeletal system, as well as blood pressure levels. With a diet rich in vegetables, you are being benefited with abundant antioxidants that keep away diseases like cancer, cardiovascular problems and stokes. It is a well-established fact that eating veggies is a healthy way to lose weight as it is a storehouse of vitamins, fiber, minerals, and other nutrients that keep you fit and healthy. In fact, vegetables are called ‘negative calorie foods’ because it actually helps to lose weight by spending more amount of energy to digest the food than it actually adds to your overall caloric intake.

2. WATER.

Water is a transparent and nearly colorless chemical substance that is the main constituent of earths streams, lakes, oceans, and the fluids of most living organisms. It is a polar inorganic compound that is at room temperature a tasteless and odorless liquid. This simplest hydrogen chalcogenide is by far the most studied chemical compound and is described as the ‘universal solvent’ for its ability to dissolve many    substances. This allows it to be the solvent of life.

Our brain is 90% water, our body is about 70% water, the majority of our blood and every cell in our body is comprised of water. Therefore, we need water to function properly. Beside other health benefits of water such as (increases energy and relieves fatigue, flushes out toxins, improves skin complexion, boosts immune system, natural headache remedy, prevents cramps and sprains, etc.) it promotes weight loss. Water removes the byproducts of fat, reduces eating intake by filling up your tummy if consumed prior to meals, reduces hunger (natural appetite suppressant!), raises your metabolism and has zero calories.

3. APPLE (PINK LADY APPLE).

The apple tree (Malus Pumila, commonly and erroneously called Malus domestica) is a deciduous tree in the rose family best known for its sweet, pomaceous fruit, the apple. It is cultivated worldwide as a fruit tree, and is the most widely grown species in the genus Malus. The tree originated in central Asia. Apples have been grown for thousands of years in Asia and Europe, and were brought to North America by Europeans colonists.

As one of the best fruit sources of fiber, studies have shown that it has the natural ability of reducing visceral fat.  At Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, recent research has proven that for every 10-gram increase in soluble fiber eaten per day, visceral fat was reduced by 3.7 percent over five years.
Subsequently, increased moderate activity (30 of sweating, 2-4 times a week) resulted in a 7.4 percent decrease in the rate of visceral fat accumulated over the same time period.

EAT THIS!  A research conducted at the university of Western Australia Found that the pink lady variety had the highest level of antioxidant flavonoids.


4. WATERMELON (citrus lanatus).

Is a plant species in the family Cucurbitaceae, a vine-like (scrambler and trailer) flowering plant originally from sub—Saharan Africa. It is cultivated for its fruit. Watermelon sometimes gets bad for being high in sugar, but the fruit has come impressive health benefits. A research conducted at the university of Kentucky showed that eating watermelon improves lipid profiles and lower fat accumulation. Furthermore, a study among athletes by the Universidad politecnica de Cartagena in Spain discovered that watermelon juice helps to reduce the level of muscle soreness.



5. TART CHERRY.

Cherries are good source of vitamins A and C. A study has shown that tart cherries can help adjust your body’s metabolism and your ability to lose abdominal body fat. Another study has proven that anthocyanins, a type of flavonoid responsible for cherries’ red color, act against the development of obesity. Subsequently, another research shows that tart cherries can help reduce inflammation and abdominal fat, and lower the risk of metabolic syndrome. Besides these, tart cherries have been shown to benefit heart health as well as body weight, in a study on obese rats. Discovery after a 12-week study by the university of Michigan shows that rats fed antioxidant-rich tart cherries show a 9 percent belly fat reduction over rats fed with “western diet.” Furthermore, the researchers also discovered that the cherry consumption had a profound ability to alter the expression of fat genes.

6. RED GRAPEFRUIT (Citrus paradisi).

The grapefruit is a subtropical citrus tree known for its sour to semi-sweet somewhat bitter fruit. Grapefruit is a hybrid originating in Barbados as an accidental cross between two introduced species, sweet orange and pomelo or shaddock, both of which were introduced from Asia in the seventeenth century. It was proven to quench thirst and thus, reduces the burning sensation that arises during fever. The Asian pacific journal of clinical Nutrition suggests that the intake of the grapefruit reduces the risk of developing prostate cancer. The citrus paradisi works as an excellent appetite suppressant as compared to many other substances and foods. It is said that smell of the grapefruit reduces the feeling of hunger.
A study printed in the journal metabolism found that the eating of half a grapefruit before meals may help reduce visceral (belly) fat and lower the cholesterol level. Researchers characterize the effects to a combination of phytochemicals and vitamin C in the grapefruit. Therefore, consider taking a half grapefruit before your morning oatmeal.
